Back pressure increase

To reduce valve noise emission, the outlet pressure of the valve is increased by using fixed throttle stages (e.g., perforated disks and cages) downstream of the valve. This results in a lower differential pressure across the valve and, in the case of gases, reduced flow velocities at the valve outlet.
